I just got asked to come to St. Louis, MO to be on Fox 2's morning show with Tim Ezell.  I will play "Sicka Cicadas" live.  I am very excited!  Now I have to figure out what to wear (and of course I am already thinking how I can get to St. Louis with enough time for me to find the H&M there and go shopping)!!  We may have to fit in a Cardinals game to even things out!!

Well, to continue on this super fun cicada journey, I have been invited to play "Sicka Cicadas" live tomorrow morning on WSM 650 am on the Coffee, Country and Cody show.   I think I will go on about 8:20 a.m.  You can listen live at www.wsmonline.com.  How cool is that?  My husband laughed at me because I bought a new dress for it.  He said, "You do realize it's radio, right?"  I'm never one to miss out on an opportunity to shop!  Thanks, by the way, for all of your continued support!!!  It has been so awesome!!

Hey Friends,
Thanks for tuning in!  I am so excited that my video for Sicka Cicadas is up!  It is wacky and hopefully funny!!  The team at Gamma Blast did an awesome job!  They usually do award-winning, "real" videos, so I'm glad they took a break to humor me!!  You can check out the video below:

Not to go on and on about cicadas, but they are everywhere!  Tonight I played at the Rusty Nail (thanks, Terri Jo!).  It was lots of fun!  When I got home, the cicadas were all over the front door and on the door frame.  They knid of scream at you (which freaks me out).  I rushed into the door and slammed it behind me.  Today in my Zumba class, the lady in front of me had one on the back of her shirt. I flicked it off of her.  Video will be done soon!  Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive of my song!!  It's so cool!

They say write what you know and I know that the Cicadas are starting to creep me out.  That's all I could think about last week when I went to my office to write, so voila...here is my newest creation, "Sick of Cicadas" or "Sick a Cicadas." My friend and great musician Paul Taylor helped me record it (www.popshop.com)  Check it out!  I never thought I would ever write a song about insects, but you kind of can't help but notice them around here in Nashville right now.  I even did research!  One was in my pant leg (by my shoe) when I was driving the other day.  I felt something fluttering around and thought it was a moth.  I hit it and a Cicada fell out.  Yuck!
