Hey Friends,
Thanks for tuning in!  I am so excited that my video for Sicka Cicadas is up!  It is wacky and hopefully funny!!  The team at Gamma Blast did an awesome job!  They usually do award-winning, "real" videos, so I'm glad they took a break to humor me!!  You can check out the video below:

They say write what you know and I know that the Cicadas are starting to creep me out.  That's all I could think about last week when I went to my office to write, so voila...here is my newest creation, "Sick of Cicadas" or "Sick a Cicadas." My friend and great musician Paul Taylor helped me record it (www.popshop.com)  Check it out!  I never thought I would ever write a song about insects, but you kind of can't help but notice them around here in Nashville right now.  I even did research!  One was in my pant leg (by my shoe) when I was driving the other day.  I felt something fluttering around and thought it was a moth.  I hit it and a Cicada fell out.  Yuck!

I remember the days when all you needed to get out of the house was a dollar or two and your parent's house key shoved into your 501's.  When you added lip gloss to the mix, you usually transitioned to a little purse/wallet thing.  Maybe your little clutch got a little bigger to fit your phone and multiple keys.   However, I never knew that once you reached a certain stage of your life, there is no going back to little purses.  Sorry.  If you must, you put the little one inside your big one and take it out at the last minute, shoving the duffel-like one under the seat of your car.  I recently heard from a friend with new twins and she said she was in search of the biggest bag out there.  See?  Sorry.  It's true.
*I have included a song I co-wrote with Victoria Shaw and Gregg Caraway called "Little Purse Girls" - let me know if you can relate!
