They say write what you know and I know that the Cicadas are starting to creep me out.  That's all I could think about last week when I went to my office to write, so voila...here is my newest creation, "Sick of Cicadas" or "Sick a Cicadas." My friend and great musician Paul Taylor helped me record it (www.popshop.com)  Check it out!  I never thought I would ever write a song about insects, but you kind of can't help but notice them around here in Nashville right now.  I even did research!  One was in my pant leg (by my shoe) when I was driving the other day.  I felt something fluttering around and thought it was a moth.  I hit it and a Cicada fell out.  Yuck!

Well, I decided to add a blog to my website, although honestly I'm not sure what I will be blogging about or if anybody really has time to read about my random thoughts!  I will say that I just finished reading a great book called "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield.  If you need a little nudge or are prone to procrastination (especially doing creative endeavors like writing your great American novel, etc.), this is a very motivating book (thus the beginning of this blog).  It is easy to do the urgent things but really hard sometimes to do the important ones!  I struggle daily with this!
